Nov 6, 2024 · Vanguard did notify me, by email, that the mutual fund account would transition the week of November 11. They do not seem to send anything by physical mail about it, nor was there any indication logging in to Vanguard.com that it was imminent. I don't expect anything to go wrong, especially as I have no in-progress transactions tonight.

Feb 26, 2024 · Vanguard has some attractive actively-managed tax-exempt municipal bond funds that I prefer to Fidelity's versions. Vanguard's managed account products are inexpensive, so one's heirs couldn't go too wrong sticking with them and using their managed account products (Vanguard Portfolio Advisory Services). I maintain accounts at both.

Apr 14, 2021 · Vanguard offers the use of hardware keys (Yubikey) but since they allow a SMS backup, it doesn't provide any additional security. (SMS two factor authentication has its own set of problems.) If there is another brokerage that offers better security and can hold Vanguard ETFs at no cost, I'm all ears. Thanks Bogleheads!
