Rob's personality led to a lot of controversy and some bad business dealings. The fans started turning on him. A lot of young fans started to sour on his art. He became a meme. Whether you like Liefeld's art or not, I think his art is unjustly picked on because there was plenty of worse stuff going around in the 90s.

Jul 16, 2023 · I think Liefeld can draw. Tbh, the constant dissing of Liefeld is a little annoying. I have far more issues with artists whose style is totally derivative and bland than I do artists whose style, while not necessarily always my cup of tea, is identifiable and coherent. I don’t like all Liefeld art. Obviously his Cap drawing is funny.

As much as Deadpool's look is part of his success (the one thing I think Liefeld can stake a claim to), Liefeld is a tool for taking sole credit for everything that's happened since and what the character is today.
