Some limited editions like the i edition has been around. The L edition has the same interior as the Lexus IS200/300. The rest have cloth interior.

But since RS is lighter and has a better power-to-weight ratio, I wonder if IS300 is really faster than RS200 in a drag race. P.S. RS200 has 154kW output which is about 207hp. Apr 11, 2004 · IS300: 3.0L 2JZ-GE I6, available in 5spd auto or 5spd manual. Found in North American markets only. Bumpers are extended a little longer to meet NHTSA/DOT standards for crash safety. Bumper side markers on front and rear. 2JZ-GE found also on JDM Altezza Gita only. There is more aftermarket support for the JDM Altezza rather than our USDM IS300's.

Jun 7, 2020 · The base Altezza has pure cloth seats and 0-4 speaker sound system (depending on Manual or Automatic, you got different base sound systems, kinda weird but that's how it went). Only the very top end L-Edition Altezza matches the base IS300 with leather seats and 8 speaker sound system.

Edit: didn't read post correct. Since your up in CA it may be a little less worth it, part of the reason I decided to import was for economical reasons -(USD vs CAD).

IS300 has 5 mile US safety standard bumpers, while Altezza/Lexus IS200 have different standard bumpers. Altezza body kits are basically compatible. But body kits that add on to FR and RR bumpers cannot be put on IS300 directly.
