Part of it I understand. They want to have clear traversal paths around cargo. In the case of the A2 and m2 it seems like they wanted to artificially reduce their capacity to make the C2 look better by comparison or to simulate that the ships are physically heavier than the C2 so they shouldnt be filled as much but the space is still necessary to transport the big military vehicles.
What is the safest way to transfer cargo between ships?
Once persistent hangars are added next year, you'll be able to use the freight elevator to put cargo in and out of storage to move it between ships, and potentially land multiple ships in a single hangar (it is the plan, but I don't think it's confirmed for the first iteration, whereas I believe freight elevators are.)

Apr 15, 2021 · The 135c is a significantly more cargo focused version of the 100i, It has 6SCU of cargo, putting it in line with ships like the Reliant, a little less than the 8SCU of the Avenger Titan, but for starter cargo ships, it's a great little ship. Unlike the Reliant, it also has a Bed too.

Mar 29, 2023 · The cargo areas were added years ago and then totally forgotten about by CIG (I'm being hyperbolic, but they aren't doing anything with them currently). You best bet is to pull both ships out, jump to empty space, and manually transfer each box over. It's time consuming and risky as hell, but it'll work
