New rounds of severe thunderstorms and life-threatening, potentially catastrophic, flooding risks are brewing in the central and eastern United States Tuesday, putting more than 50 million people at risk this week.

Scattered severe thunderstorms, hail and damaging winds are in store for a large stretch of the country on April 29, forecasters said.

Storms destroyed homes in Texas and heavy rain caused flooding in Oklahoma. NBC News Correspondent Ryan Chandler has the story.
