Protests that sprang up in Los Angeles over immigration enforcement raids have spread across the country. The Trump administration said it would continue the raids and deportations despite the protests.
About 500 of the National Guard troops deployed to the Los Angeles protests have been trained to accompany agents on immigration operations, the commander in charge said Wednesday.
President Trump has said the city would be burning without military intervention, but the protests have been confined to a relatively small area.
