Orlando Bloom is keeping himself up to date with ex-fiancée Katy Perry‘s romance rumors with Justin Trudeau. The actor recently garnered attention for approving of and commenting under a satirical news post that seemingly mocked Perry’s dating speculation with the former Canadian prime minister.

On Friday (Aug. 1), satirical news site The Onion shared a fictional article on Instagram with the headline, "Orlando Bloom Spotted at Dinner With Angela Merkel." The post featured what appeared to be an AI-generated image of the 48-year-old English actor enjoying a candlelit dinner with former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, 71.

NewsNation’s Paula Froelich reported that, despite the breakup rumors, Bloom and Perry were expected to reunite at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding in Venice, Italy. While Bloom attended, Perry didn’t because she was on tour.
