The former Crimson Tide All-American is returning for Washington after missing nine games because of a pectoral injury.

"The #Commanders have now officially activated DT Jonathan Allen off Injured Reserve," Rapoport said on X. Allen hasn't played since Oct. 13 having been out to a pectoral injury. The Commanders waived defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis to make room for Allen back on the 53-man roster.
