(Reuters) -Left-arm spinner Liam Dawson has replaced injured Shoaib Bashir in England's 14-player squad for the fourth test in the five-match series against India, the England and Wales Cricket Board said on Tuesday.

This was a throwback of a last day when every wicket and run was eked out in front of a near full-house and the tension became unbearable

Dawson last played Test cricket for England in July 2017 and will be looking to make his comeback after eight long years.

India lost the third Test at Lord’s and the series 2-1 against England Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly praised India’s fight and strong performance despite the defeat

India had their moments at Lord's, but they were given big jolts, sometimes due to lapse in concentration and sometimes due to the brilliance of the England bowlers and fielders
