Ta'Niya Latson, the leading scorer in women's college basketball last season at 25.2 points per game, has transferred to South Carolina, she announced on social media Tuesday. Latson will provide a major offensive boost for Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks,

South Carolina has taken transfers frequently during Staley’s tenure. Some of the Gamecocks’ recent hits in the portal: center Kamilla Cardoso, who came from Syracuse, and Paopao, who came from Oregon. Both won national championships. Naturally, South Carolina has an excellent recruiting pitch for transfers.
