MSNBC will undergo its biggest identity shift in decades, as the cable TV network splits from NBC News. The channel will be known as "MS Now" by the end of 2025, CNBC reported. MS Now's name will be an abbreviation for "My Source News Opinion World.
The rebranding — which stands for My Source for News, Opinion, and the World — comes as Comcast spins off several of its cable networks into a new company called Versant. The change will drop both the NBC name and the peacock logo from MSNBC 's branding.
MSNBC's new name, 'MS NOW,' was mocked on social media on Monday as the branding change was compared to several failed computer software products.

Cable news channel MSNBC is going to rebrand as My Source News Opinion World, or MS NOW, according to a new report from the New York Times. The change is happening because Comcast’s NBCUniversal is spinning off many of its cable TV assets into a new company called Versant, severing ties with the “NBC” part of MSNBC.
MSNBC announced on Monday (August 18) that the network will be rebranded as My Source News Opinion World, or MS NOW, later this year as part of its separation from Comcast. The network will also be getting rid of its famous Peacock logo.
