BU goalie Mikhail Yegorov, a 6-foot-5 freshman from St. Petersburg, Russia, made 26 saves to notch his second win in three starts. Yegorov, a New Jersey Devils draft pick, was added to the BU roster on Jan. 21 after two seasons with the Omaha Lancers of the USHL.

The Terriers scored five times in the middle period at TD Garden on its way to securing a spot in next Monday's Beanpot championship game.

BOSTON -- One of the most legendary tournaments in hockey is set to write a new chapter on Monday night, as the Boston University Terriers take on the Harvard Crimson in the first of two semifinals in the annual Beanpot.

Just like the women's team, Northeastern men's hockey has won two straight Beanpot titles heading into 2025. Another championship would give both programs a three-peat. Northeastern has also won five of the last six Beanpot tournaments with Boston University defeating the Huskies in 2022.

Northeastern will look to three-peat as it won the event in 2023 and 2024 while Boston College will look to win its first Beanpot since 2016. The two teams are knotted at one game apiece in the head-to-head matchup this season.
