Nintendo ( NTDOY 2.73%) stock rose 2.5% through 11:45 a.m. ET Wednesday after the Japanese video game giant confirmed that it will be releasing a successor to the popular Nintendo Switch gaming console later this year. It's name: Nintendo Switch 2.

Nintendo has finally revealed the Switch 2 — but it didn’t reveal everything. Even still, the new console looks pretty much like a bigger, more refined Switch. Sure, that’s the straightforward and expected move from Nintendo. But it’s also exactly what I’ve been waiting for.

Over on YouTube, Spanish leaker eXtas1s claims that Microsoft has big plans for the Switch 2. According to this leaker, the titles Xbox might bring to Nintendo include Diablo 4, Fallout 4, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Microsoft Flight Simulator and Starfield.
