Jayson Tatum will have an MRI on the lower leg injury he suffered during the Boston Celtics’ 121-113 Game 4 defeat against the New York Knicks on Monday.

If the Boston Celtics extend their season by beating the visiting New York Knicks in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals Wednesday night, they will do so without leading scorer Jayson Tatum.

Jayson Tatum suffered a torn Achilles tendon during Monday night's Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series between the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks. The Celtics star left the game late in the fourth quarter after he went down on the court from the non-contact injury.
