Iga Swiatek defeated Amanda Anisimova in the 2025 Wimbledon ladies' singles final in a manner only seen once before in the Open Era.

Anisimova, 23, will return to Centre Court for Saturday's final against No. 8 Iga Światek, who steamrolled Belinda Bencic, 6-2, 6-0. Anisimova is trying to become the first American to win a Grand Slam in London since Serena Williams' seventh and final Wimbledon title in 2016.

It was billed as the Wimbledon women’s final that no one expected, it finished as a match that American rising star Amanda Anisimova will want to forget.
