Air Canada suspended all operations Saturday morning after more than 10,000 flight attendants walked off the job demanding higher pay and better scheduling protections.

A strike, which was scheduled to start just before 0100 ET on Saturday, would hit Canada's tourism sector during the height of the summer travel season.
