To a secular Israeli, one need not wait for messiah, one must continue the messiah’s work, and one must not allow the messianic age to lapse. Is that my people have taken such drastic measures?

In the meantime, while we wait, we are commanded to live lives worthy of the messiah’s arrival. We must fill our days with kindness and compassion, with justice and love.

The disadvantaged and underprivileged classes appear to be waiting for a messiah to channel their growing restlessness and sheer anger into a mass movement.

The wait for the Messiah continued, amplified by the sorrow of amplifying sin. Adam and Eve grew old and died. They did not live to witness the fulfillment of the promise.

Some of us are waiting for the messiah to come and some of us are waiting for the messiah to return. In the meantime, while we wait, we are commanded to live lives worthy of the messiah’s arrival.
