Even though the Wolves had won Games 2 and 3, it rarely felt over those two games like they reached their peak potential in this series against the Stephen Curry-less Golden State Warriors. They did that in the third quarter of Game 4 Monday,
After going into halftime up two points, the Warriors saw their lead evaporate as the Wolves embarked on a 21-2 run starting with two Rudy Gobert free throws. The Warriors left the third quarter trailing by 20 after a 12-minute stretch filled with fruitless Golden State drives, turnovers and a parade of made Timberwolves jumpers.
With the Warriors down by 21 points and with just under four minutes left in the fourth quarter, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr decided to pull his key players from the floor, including Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green, and send some of the bench guys to the court to finish the contest, as noted by Jack Borman of “Locked On Sports Minnesota.”
The Timberwolves can close out the Western Conference semifinal series at home on Wednesday with the Warriors' Stephen Curry probably still sidelined.

Edwards scored at least 30 points for the second straight game, helping Minnesota win comfortably. The margin was sizeable enough to allow Edwards to sit out a significant portion of the final quarter.
