Kulich extended the lead to 4-2 with an outstanding individual effort; the forward skated the puck out of the defensive zone, passed it to himself off the boards through the neutral zone and beat Binnington with a wide-angle shot, nearly on the goal line.

JJ Peterka had a goal and an assist and had the deciding goal in the shootout to help lead the Buffalo Sabres to a 4-3 win against the Washington Capitals on Monday night. Alex Tuch and Tage Thompson also scored for the Sabres.

What more can be said about the 2024-25 Buffalo Sabres season? Myriad three-game winning streaks have been had but it’s hard to talk about them with a 13-game losing streak thrown in there.
