The latest atmospheric river arrived on Wednesday in the Bay Area with damaging winds bringing down trees, the threat of thunderstorms, and possible snow in the highest peaks.The storm which began sweeping over the North Bay in the morning was sliding south throughout the afternoon and evening.

Though rainfall totals were significant in some areas, the winds stole the spotlight. The Marin Headlands saw gusts of 65 mph, while San Francisco International Airport recorded gusts of 59 mph. South San Francisco clocked in at 52 mph, with Behringer noting that wind gust readings in some places may have skewed higher.
