A 9-year-old boy has been released from the hospital after he was briefly buried by collapsing sand last week at Silver Lake State Park in Oceana County, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources said.

A 9-year-old boy was buried and nearly killed by a collapsing sand dune in Michigan, but was saved by bystanders and DNR officers' CPR efforts. He is now recovering at home.
