A man from Devon is set to compete in the London Marathon and attempt to break a world record in memory of his two babies who died. James Ashforth, 35, from Axminster, will take on the marathon on Sunday for his children Luca and Leila who were still-born.

Many top marathoners took to the streets on London on Sunday morning. The third World Marathon Major of the season, the London Marathon, took off on Sunday morning, very early for viewers in the United States. Conditions were sunny and pleasant for the athletes on their journey from Greenwich Park to The Mall.
