MLB Speedway Classic: Best photos, videos from Braves-Reds at Bristol
The famed racetrack has been converted to host baseball for the showcase. Over 85,000 fans were expected on hand for the first-of-its-kind event. MLB's previous attendance record was 84,587 fans at a 1954 game in Cleveland featuring the New York Yankees.
Speedway Classic: Start time set for Cincinnati Reds, Atlanta Braves at Bristol Motor Speedway
The Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves completed their pre-game ceremonies but then entered a rain delay at Bristol Motor Speedway. The game will not start at its originally-scheduled first-pitch time of 7:15 p.m.
The Braves trailed 1-0 when the game resumed Sunday, and Eli White hit two home runs to power Atlanta over the Reds, 4-2.
One Atlanta Braves infielder is paying respects to the great Ricky Bobby with his cleats for the Speedway Classic.
