Charlotte City Council heard no opposition to Wells Fargo’s plan to put two 1,880-square foot signs on former Duke Energy building in uptown.

Officials said both sides of the 550 South Tryon Street building will be decorated with the new lights for holidays and special events.

Wells Fargo has about 27,000 workers in the Charlotte area, and more than 247,000 worldwide. More than 6,000 employees work in uptown and 10,000 work from the Customer Information Center complex.
