A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Jefferson County until 7:15 p.m. At 630 p.m. CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Brooklyn to near Footville, moving northeast at 45 mph. Winds could reach 70 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning at 6:59 p.m. on Friday in effect until 7:30 p.m. for Johnson and Miami counties.

On Friday at 2:55 p.m. the NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC issued a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 4 p.m. for Transylvania County.
