According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Detroit Lions are re-signing defensive lineman Levi Onwuzurike to a 1-year $5.5 million contract extension. Onwuzurike was drafted by the Lions in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft (the first of the Brad Holmes/Dan Campbell regime) with high expectations.

Onwuzurike has a one-year deal in place with Detroit, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The pact is worth $5.5MM, he adds. After a career-year in 2024, the former second-round defensive tackle will earn a notable raise compared to his rookie contract.
