Dredging OK’d for Carlsbad lagoon will add sand to nearby beachesThe California Coastal Commission has approved two additional rounds of dredging for Carlsbad’s Agua Hedionda Lagoon, one to be completed this winter and another in the 2027-28 season.
A consultant with the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation was arrested on suspicion of embezzling approximately $85,000 from the organization.
