A Tony Hawk's Pro Skater-related announcement appears to just be around the corner, according to a mysterious date found within Black Ops 6.

As we go on five years since the release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, there have been whispers of Activision prepping to bring the iconic franchise back and remaster more beloved titles from the past.

Tony Hawk himself previously revealed a Pro Skater 3+4 remake had been in the works at one point following the success of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2. However, plans were reportedly scuppered when Activision merged developer Vicarious Visions into Blizzard, turning it into support studio for the Diablo franchise and other Blizzard games.

Professional skateboarder Tyshawn Jones is in an upcoming Tony Hawk video game remaster, he told Power 105.1 FM’s The Breakfast Club in an interview today.

Something new to do with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater has been being teased over the past few days. An official countdown on the website seems to indicate that the project is Pro Skater 3+4. Further evidence of this can be found in the source code,

Just days after professional skateboarder Tyshawn Jones announced that he’s going to appear in a remaster of an existing Tony Hawk game, Activision has started to tease an impending announcement. In a post on X/Twitter,

According to the often-accurate Xbox leaker, Microsoft will announce Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 at the Xbox Games Showcase this summer. Furthermore, eXtas1s also claims that the game will release right after the show - effectively making this a shadow drop from Team Green, if it happens.

The teaser in Black Ops 6 is located in Grind’s shop area, where a sign can be seen that says “03.04.25” – or March 4, 2025 – with the logo for the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series. While it could just be set dressing, it seems too intentional to not mean anything, if you ask me.

Jones was a playable skater in the 2020 release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, which bundled together the iconic first two games of the long-running skating series. Jones is one of a handful of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 skaters who wasn't in the original two games (he was one year old at the time of the first game's launch).

Season 02 Reloaded of Black Ops 6 launched today, adding two multiplayer maps along with other content, including the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. One of the newly added maps is Grind, a returning multiplayer map that previously featured in Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 4. The map is set in a skatepark in Venice, California.
