On Monday at 7:43 p.m. a tornado watch was released by the National Weather Service in effect until Tuesday at midnight. The watch is for Leavenworth, Clay, Platte, Caldwell, Clinton and Daviess counties.

Residents in parts of northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri are keeping close tabs on the weather tonight as storms have developed.
