A Shane Lowry shot from the tee struck a man during Sunday’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. During his tee shot on the 15th hole, Lowry hit his ball 297 yards just to the right of the fairway and struck a tournament volunteer who had been standing on that side of the course.

Shane Lowry inadvertently struck a course marshal on the shoulder with a wayward drive at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The Irishman’s strike from the tee at the start of the 15th round caused momentary panic as fans wondered whether the volunteer was okay.

Am, and heading into the final round on the Monterey Peninsula, it is perhaps the biggest in the field who is just out sharing the lead. Rory McIlroy was simply brilliant Saturday in the cold and blustery conditions as he navigated Pebble Beach Golf Links in bogey-free fashion en route to a 7-under 65 to sit one stroke behind 54-hole leader Sepp Straka at 16 under.
