ISLAMABAD: In response to the deteriorating security situation in the region, Pakistan has evacuated 450 pilgrims from Iran and is working to assist others still stranded, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said on Sunday.

Security sources have strongly rejected reports claiming Pakistan provided non-nuclear ballistic missiles to Iran, terming them baseless, frivolous, and part of a propaganda campaign led by Indian media and its affiliated foreign outlets.

President Donald Trump vetoed a plan presented to the U.S. in recent days to kill Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to a U.S. official familiar with the matter.

Pakistan and Turkiye have expressed deep concern and anguish over the deteriorating regional situation due to Israel's unjustified attacks on Iran. This came during telephonic conversation between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan today.
