Temperatures continue to slowly creep closer to 100 degrees in North Texas each afternoon. On Wednesday, temperatures topped out at 96 degrees, Thursday will be near 98 degrees and Friday will be the hottest day of the week, near 100 degrees.

After a milder start to the week, things are expected to get steamy in Dallas-Fort Worth. Wednesday’s heat is forecasted to be exactly seasonably average for early August, with a high of 97 degrees according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.
