The return of former drug trafficker Fabio Ochoa to Colombia following his deportation from the United States has reopened old wounds among victims of the Medellín Cartel, with some expressing dismay at the Colombian authorities' decision to let Ochoa walk free.

The former drug trafficker was captured in October 1999 and extradited to the United States in 2001. Fabio Ochoa Vásquez, one of the founders of the Medellin Cartel and associate of Pablo Escobar, has arrived in Colombia deported after serving 26 years of drug trafficking sentence in the United States as reported by Migration Colombia.
