Tens of thousands of people participated in dozens of "No Kings" protests in downtown Los Angeles and throughout Southern California to join a coalition of activists across the country demonstrating "in defiance" of President Trump.

Thousands of people have gathered in cities across the US to join protests against President Donald Trump, hours ahead of his military parade in Washington DC. The demonstrations organised by a group called "No Kings" was billed as a nationwide day of defiance of his policies.

CNN is tracking the LA protests against ICE and the Trump administration and those that have spread across the US this week.
