Harry Potter author JK Rowling has finally reacted after one of the new stars of the upcoming HBO reboot, Paapa Essiedu, signed an open letter in support of trans rights in the UK. The Scottish author revealed why she won't be firing the actor ahead of filming the HBO show.

The author blasted an open letter, signed by Essiedu among other "Harry Potter" actors, which called protection of the U.K. trans community.
