Passengers aboard an American Airlines flight were evacuated Saturday afternoon following an incident with the plane's landing gear during takeoff.

Passengers evacuated an American Airlines jet at Denver International Airport after the landing gear caught fire during an aborted takeoff.

The flight, bound for Miami International Airport, was carrying 173 passengers and six crew members when it experienced a “maintenance issue” involving an aircraft tire before takeoff, CNN reported
