ARLINGTON, Texas — North Texas country singer Pat Green is playing a livestreamed concert at Globe Life Field Wednesday in partnership with the Texas Rangers and REV Entertainment to aid those impacted by the deadly floods in the Texas Hill Country.

In the Austin area, 12 people are still missing and 16 are known to have perished after rain swept away homes along rivers and creeks.

Wimberley, Texas, was the site of a devastating flash flood on Memorial Day weekend in 2015. Now, 10 years later, the town has rebuilt with such floods in mind — but still feels the emotional effects.

Faith communities and mental health professionals work together to help Kerrville, Texas, residents recover from flood trauma, offering spiritual guidance and emotional support.

Emergency responders continue to search for missing people and local police said efforts have been slowed by "sightseers who are making things worse."

State and local officials said they did their best to coordinate evacuations and rescues, but better cellphone service might help in future floods.
