We visited the HOTEL DEL CORONADO, on Christmas Eve. For the 4th or 5th TIME!!! It only had a few places open, including the BIG, beautiful LOBBY!!! It’s truly a gorgeous place on the island.Full review by Clarence B

I assume you are referring to Coronado Island. I guess that the Santa Fe terminal you mention is a main railway station in San Diego. I’m sorry that I don’t have an answer but suggest you may google bike rentals at San Diego railway depot. Keep in mind that generally, our railroads don’t measure up to those in the UK.
